Thomas “Tucker” Williams, 79, of South Haven, passed away Wednesday, May 22, 2019 at his home under Hospice care. He was born August 24, 1939 to Kenneth and Vera (Sauers) Williams in South Haven. Tucker graduated from South Haven High School with the Class of 1957. He later went on to earn an Associate’s Degree from Davenport University. Tucker honorably served his country in the United States Air Force from 1962 until 1966. Tucker married Sally Dodge-Dykehouse on July 22, 1994. Tucker owned Tucker Shell on Broadway Avenue in South Haven for 25 years before his retirement in 2005. He was a sportsman who enjoyed golfing and watching all sports, including baseball and the Boston Red Sox. Tucker attended the First United Methodist Church in South Haven.
He is survived by his wife – Sally Williams of South Haven; children -Tom Williams of South Haven, Lisa (Dan) Dywer of Wyoming, Michigan; step-son - Brant Dykehouse of Chicago, Illinois; ; grandchildren – Kyle and Morgan Smith, and Jackson and Griffin Williams; sister – Dian Cooper of Comstock, Michigan; nephew – Dick (Lisa) Cooper of South Haven.
Visitation will be held from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM on Saturday, June 8, 2019 at the Filbrandt Family Funeral Home in South Haven. Memorial services will follow the visitation at 3:00 PM with Pastor Ron VanLente officiating at the funeral home.
