Scott Allen Hoadley, 30, of Covert, passed away Monday, August 6, 2018 at the Lakeland Regional Medical Center in St. Joseph, Michigan. He was born September 1, 1987 to Glenn Hoadley and Lucille McGuire in South Haven. Scotty was a jack of all trades working on cars, trimming trees, painting, masonry work, and dry walling. Scotty’s true passion was hunting.
He is preceded in death by his mother – Lucille McGuire who passed in 1997.
Scotty is survived by his children – Tristin Clark, Kendra, Ethan, and Riot Hoadley, Junior and Izzy Malando, father – Glenn (Pam) Hoadley of Covert, siblings – Kristy (Fred) McGuire of Dowagiac, and Jamie (Justin Schnek) Bradford of Kalamazoo, grandparents – Pauline and Albert Hoadley of Covert. Several aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews also survive.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Friday, August 10, 2018 at the Filbrandt Family Funeral Home in South Haven. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, August 11, 2018 at the funeral home with Pastor Duane Jones officiating. Scotty will be laid to rest at the Rush Lake Indian Cemetery in Hartford. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Scotty’s memory to Gryphon Place, 3245 South 8th Street, Kalamazoo, MI 49009 or to your local crisis prevention help center.
