Gayle Elaine Tucker

September 18, 1960 ~ June 15, 2019 (age 58)

Gayle Elaine Tucker, 58, of Bangor, passed away Saturday, June 15, 2019 at the Bronson Methodist Hospital in Kalamazoo. She was born September 18, 1960 in Chicago, Illinois. Her parents were Norma Townsend and Robert Walker and Geraldine Watson and Marvin Tucker. Gayle honorably served her country in the United States Army. Gayle wore many hats through life having worked at Pullman Industries, worked with her mother at Tender Care AFC, she was a DJ and a bar tender. Most importantly, she served the Lord as an Evangelist and ordained minister. She most recently dealt Black Jack at Four Winds Casino in Hartford and New Buffalo for the past seven years. Gayle enjoyed going to the casino. She also enjoyed playing chess and being the best grandma for her grandchildren. Gayle was a member of the Resurrection Life Ministries in South Haven.

She is preceded in death by her parents – Robert Walker and Geraldine Watson; daughter – Tashia Marie Kennedy; siblings – Florence Tucker, Ricky Walker, Allen Triplett.

Gayle is survived by her children – Tisha Kennedy and Anthony (Mequesha) Kennedy both of Bangor; fiancé – Morand Gibson of Bangor; parents – Marvin Tucker and Norma Townsend; grandchildren – Le’onna, Serenity, Koyah, Anthony, Noah, and Markyse; siblings – Susan (Walter) Walker-Turner of South Haven, Charles (Renell) Walker of Indianapolis, Indiana, James Walker of Holland, Phyllis Tucker of Chicago, Denise Tucker of Chicago, Marvel Crutch of Austin, Texas, Marvin Tucker, Jr. of Chicago, Dwight (Sylvia) McCall of Richmond, Virginia, and Ierlene Hampton of Chicago; sister-in-love – Darnella Hoffman.


Wake will be held from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM on Saturday, June 29, 2019 at the Filbrandt Family Funeral Home in South Haven. Funeral services will follow the wake at 2:00 PM with Pastor Joseph O. Wilkins officiating. Gayle will be laid to rest at the Fort Custer National Cemetery in Augusta, Michigan.
