Wesley Gene Dunning, 69, of Covert, Michigan died on February 12, 2010 at home. Wes was born on May 9, 1940 in Bernie, Missouri to Ernest and Ruth (Brown) in Missouri. Wes married Betty Sumler on August 1, 1958 in Indio, California. Wes worked as a truck driver for the Carnation Milk Company until he became disable in 1981. They moved to Michigan in 1996. Wes loved to hunt and fish. He was a member of the Church of the Nazarene of South Haven.
He is preceded in death by his parents and two brothers - Justin and Sidney Dunning. two sisters - Vina Haas and Kathy Taylor.
He is survived by his wife; Betty Dunning of Covert, Michigan, his children; Tammy Sue (Jack) Hendrickson of Port Orchard, Washington, Sandra Jean (John) Miller, of Tucson, Arizona , Vicky Lynn (Stan Johnston) Moore of New Cuyama, California, Debra Kay (Tom) Osozco of Taft, California, and Wesley Allen (Karen) Dunning of Bakersfield, California. One brother; Elmer Cleverger of Bakersfield, California. 17 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren also survive.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, February 16 from 6-8 P.M .at the Filbrandt Family Funeral Home. Funeral will be on Wednesday, February 17 at 1:00 P.M at the funeral home with Pastor Scott Hollebrands officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the Church of the Nazarene.
